Our Slogan really does take on a new relevance. Doesn't it?
Building thermal imaging surveys are a unique way of being able to "see" a buildings thermal performance that even to the untrained eye will make you understand.
One such project that Thermal Innovations Ltd worked on was at the Cottrell Building of Stirling University.
The old building was deemed to be thermally inefficient and that a new outer insulated cladding system was the way forward. DM Facades were the contactor and Thermal Innovations Ltd was commissioned to carry out a series of building thermal imaging surveys to see if the benefit could be demonstrated. The survey was carried out at various construction stages and you can see for yourself the results in the Thermogram below.
The "Before" part of the thermogram demonstrates higher temperatures of the walls and windows. The "After" demonstrates lower temperatures which simply put, shows that far less heat is escaping through the building envelope than before.
This work has been published by Stirling University and DB Facades.
